Rows of soft purple lavender, summer greenery and time together outdoors: Bellevie’s Lavender Mini is a summer photography experience for Toronto families at our exclusive lavender farm in Queensville, Ontario. It is a chance to step away from the everyday, enjoy the outdoors with your children and bring home beautiful photographic memories.

Our lavender mini sessions take place at the farm near Queensville Sideroad and Woodbine Avenue, with access via Highway 404. This is our outdoor Queensville location, separate from our Richmond Hill studio. Families from Toronto, including North York and Scarborough, as well as Markham, Vaughan and the wider Greater Toronto Area, are welcome to plan a summer visit.

A summer setting full of colour and connection

Lavender brings a gentle purple palette to family photographs, with green foliage and open sky adding a natural sense of space. In the featured photographs, flowering rows stretch behind a picnic-style setting with a white fringed parasol, woven baskets and a soft blanket. Cream and white outfits let the lavender colours shine.

The gallery moves between family portraits at the picnic setting and a family walking along a path through the lavender. A Dalmatian joins the photographs, showing how a beloved pet can become part of the family’s summer memories. Please ask about pet arrangements for your own appointment.

This is a real outdoor setting, with seasonal flowers and changing natural light. The appearance of the field varies with the growing season and weather; the photographs show the setting at the time they were taken.

More than a photograph: a little time outdoors

Lavender Mini is one of Bellevie’s popular summer experiences. We care about how children feel during their visit as well as the photographs we create. Space to notice the flowers, walk together and settle into a parent’s arms can give a session its most personal moments.

Our professional photographers guide your family through portraits and relaxed moments, using professional equipment and thoughtful composition. The goal is a collection of memories that feels like your family: the closeness, little expressions and joy of spending a summer day together.

Please keep children supervised and follow our team’s guidance. Stay on designated paths and avoid stepping on, picking or pulling the lavender. Gentle exploration helps protect both the field and the experience for visiting families.

When is the best time for lavender photographs?

June and July are the key months for Bellevie’s lavender photography season. Our seasonal collection describes the usual flowering window as mid-June to mid-July, although bloom timing and fullness depend on the weather and growing conditions. Available session dates are planned around the season; a specific bloom level cannot be guaranteed.

For the latest seasonal information, visit our Lavender Mini and seasonal photography page. If the dates you want have not been released, email info@bellevieco.ca to ask about upcoming availability.

How our Lavender Mini pre-sale works

We release Lavender Mini offers in several pre-sale rounds before moving toward regular rates. Earlier rounds can offer better value, with availability and pricing changing as later rounds are released. Check the current booking information for the dates, inclusions and terms available when you reserve.

This page introduces the Lavender Mini experience. It does not mean that bookings are currently open. Visit the seasonal page or contact us for the latest release and reservation details.

Planning a comfortable outdoor session

Arrive dressed for your photographs and choose footwear suitable for grass and uneven ground. Soft neutrals, cream, pale pink and light blue work beautifully with the lavender. Bring water and the essentials your children need for a comfortable summer outing. An onsite toilet is available.

We normally send parking and arrival instructions the day before the session to help you find the photography location. Please use those directions rather than travelling to our Richmond Hill studio.

As with any farm or garden, insects, including mosquitoes and bees, may be present. We take insect-control measures and provide repellent, but the setting cannot be made insect-free. Let us know about any access needs before booking so we can discuss the terrain and arrangements. Children and pets must remain supervised, and any play equipment onsite is outside the photography package.

Useful answers before reserving

What happens if the weather is unsuitable?

For weather that prevents an outdoor session from going ahead, we offer a complimentary weather-related reschedule or the option to convert the booking to studio credit, subject to the booking terms. Both sunshine and cloud cover are normal outdoor conditions and do not by themselves trigger a weather reschedule.

Can we change our appointment for another reason?

Our outdoor booking policy also allows one complimentary client-requested reschedule when requested more than a week before the session. Late changes, cancellations and same-day cancellations may incur fees. Read the contract before booking for the applicable notice requirements and full terms.

Do babies and pets count as members?

Yes. We use members to include adults, children, newborns, babies and pets. Each counts toward the package allowance, and additional-member fees apply when the included allowance is exceeded. Confirm the Lavender Mini package inclusions and pet arrangements before booking. Pets must stay under supervision at all times.

Will you share our family photographs publicly?

Only with your permission. Without permission, your photographs remain private and are used only as needed for the normal photography-service workflow.
